Privacy Policy

How Walkable handles your data.

Effective Date: April 12, 2026

Walkable is designed to help you replace car trips and build a walkable life. This privacy policy explains how we collect and process your data.

What we collect

  • Account Information: We use Apple Sign-In to create your account securely.
  • Activity Data: The trips you log manually, including mode (walk, bike, transit) and purpose.
  • Location Privacy: Walkable does not track your exact location in the background. Saved places are optional and exact coordinates are kept private.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous analytics to help us improve the app.

How we use it

We use your information to operate Walkable: calculate your progress, display your personal activity map, and maintain your account. If you choose to share your trips to the public feed, they are shared with safe labels (e.g. "Home to Work") rather than exact addresses.

Data Sharing & Security

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use secure cloud infrastructure (Convex) to store your data safely. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings.
